How creators and co-performers verify
Verification takes a few minutes and is required before the first upload. It happens in the creator studio, under Verify.
- Choose the country that issued your ID and the document type (passport, driving license or national ID card).
- Photograph the front and, where needed, the back of the document.
- Take a live selfie. The check confirms that a real person is present and that the face matches the document.
- Confirm your legal name, date of birth and any stage names.
- For couple or group content, invite each co-performer. Each person completes the same check on their own device and signs a consent record for the content.
Content is published only after every person in it is verified and has consent on file. Creators can read more on for creators.
What creator verification data is kept
Because the law requires producers and platforms to keep age and identity records for adult content, we keep a copy of the ID, the selfie check result, the legal name, date of birth, stage names and the signed consent records. These records are stored with restricted access and kept for as long as the law requires after the content is removed or the account is closed. They are never shown to members or other creators.
When fans are asked to verify their age
A growing number of US states, the United Kingdom under the Online Safety Act and several other countries require adult sites to check that visitors are adults before showing adult content. Fellate follows the rules of the place you are in. Where an age check is required, you complete it once before entering adult pages. Where it is not required, the age notice overlay asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older.
Fans who need to verify can choose from the methods our partner supports in their location, such as an ID document with a selfie or an age estimation from a selfie. Methods vary by region because the laws vary.
What fan verification data is kept
For fans, we keep the result of the check (verified adult, yes or no), the method used and the date. We do not keep a copy of your ID document. The partner deletes document images after the check according to its own retention rules and the applicable law. Your result is kept while your account is open, so you do not need to verify again, and it is deleted when you close the account. Details are in our privacy policy.
How the age notice overlay works
Adult pages on Fellate show an age notice overlay the first time you visit. It explains that the page contains adult content and asks you to confirm you are 18 or older, or to complete an age check where your location requires it. The page underneath is not shown until you confirm.
Editorial pages, such as the guides, are written as sex education for adults and are safe for work, so they do not show the overlay. You can leave at any time, and parental control tools can block the whole site.
Questions people ask
Why do creators verify with an ID and a live selfie?
The ID proves the person is an adult and who they are. The live selfie proves that the person holding the account is the same person and is really present, which stops stolen documents from being used.
Does every person in a video have to verify?
Yes. Every co-performer completes the same ID and live selfie check and signs a consent record before the content is published.
Do I have to show my ID to watch as a fan?
Only where the law of your state or country requires an age check. Elsewhere, you confirm you are 18 or older on the age notice overlay.
Does Fellate keep a copy of my ID as a fan?
No. For fans we keep only the result of the check, the method and the date, and we delete it when you close your account.
What if my verification fails?
You can try again with a clearer photo or a different document. If it still fails, write to support@fellate.com and we will look at the case.
